Biography

Hallie Contreras is a dedicated advocate with a passion for family law and civil litigation. A native Texan who grew up in the Hill Country, Hallie developed a deep appreciation for resilience, advocacy, and community. As a child of divorce, Hallie possesses a personal understanding of the emotional and legal challenges families face, which fuels her passion for guiding clients through difficult legal matters with both compassion and strategic representation.

Hallie is projected to complete her Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law in May 2025, pursuing the Litigation Professional Track in Family Law Practice. Baylor Law is nationally recognized for its Practice Court Program, a rigorous litigation training curriculum that prepares students to become effective trial attorneys. Through this program and her coursework, Hallie has developed the ability to analyze complex legal issues, craft persuasive arguments, and navigate courtroom procedures with confidence.

Committed to continuous learning and advocacy, Hallie was awarded the Dean’s Academic Excellence Scholarship and participated in numerous student organizations, including the Women’s Legal Society, the Student Wellness Organization, and the LGBTQ+ Student Association. She has also completed two of the rigorous Legal Bootcamps offered at Baylor, gaining hands-on experience in trial preparation, case strategy, and procedural law. Additionally, she volunteered for Baylor’s Family Law Clinic, assisting in pro bono legal services for individuals in need.

Beyond family law, Hallie has a strong interest in civil litigation, where she applies her research, writing, and advocacy skills to analyze legal issues and develop case strategies. Through her legal training, she has gained experience in drafting motions, preparing for trial, and understanding the nuances of courtroom advocacy. With a foundation in Baylor Law’s renowned Practice Court Program, Hallie has worked hard to develop the skills necessary to become a confident and effective litigator.

Before law school, Hallie built a foundation in leadership, client service, and problem-solving through management roles in healthcare and business settings. Her combination of personal experience, rigorous legal training, and dedication to advocacy makes her a passionate and driven legal professional prepared to serve clients with integrity and diligence.”
